With a strong commitment to mental health, I have dedicated my career to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families. Since 2012, I have been actively involved in the field of mental health, starting my journey in a non-profit organization where I worked closely with adolescents and families affected by substance use disorders. This experience ignited my passion for helping others, and I have since expanded my expertise by working in various public and private settings.
In 2018, I completed a Master's in Counselling, equipping me with a solid foundation in therapeutic techniques and approaches. I am now a fully registered psychologist in Alberta, having obtained my registration in 2022. My passion for working with children is evident in my academic background, as I hold an undergraduate degree in child studies and a certificate in children's mental health. Early intervention has always been a focal point in my work, as I believe in the power of providing support and guidance to young individuals during critical developmental stages.
Throughout my career, I have continuously sought professional growth and training in evidence-based modalities. I have received specialized training and supervision in delivering Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Prolonged Exposure for PTSD (PE). Additionally, I have completed training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), as it aligns with my commitment to providing comprehensive support to families.
I am currently studying psychedelic-assisted therapy, recognizing the emerging potential of this modality in mental health treatment.
One of my unique strengths lies in my ability to connect with children and teens who have faced challenges in building meaningful connections with others. I believe in creating a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can feel heard, validated, and empowered on their journey towards well-being. Through empathy, compassion, and a client-centered approach, I strive to help my clients discover their inner strengths, develop coping strategies, and navigate life's obstacles with resilience and confidence.
I am truly passionate about the work I do, and I am honoured to walk alongside individuals and families as they embark on their paths towards healing, growth, and fulfillment.
I work with children (ages 7+), teens and adults of all genders.
My work with children and teens often involves working in collaboration with the family. *This is different from family therapy.
I specialize in treating individuals who experience anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, emotion dysregulation, OCD, and behavioural issues. I have a special interest in working with children, adolescents and their families.
Other concerns I have helped individuals with include:
